I am a Confessional Lutheran Pastor, a member of the Lutheran Church –Missouri Synod. I am grew up in rural southern Indiana, in what many people describe as “Lutheran Land”– the area between Seymour and Columbus, IN. Currently I serve as Pastor at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church located in LaGrange, MO. I am celebrating the 2nd anniversary of my ordination (June 4, 2017 Pentecost Day) and installation at St. Peter’s (July 23, 2017). I graduated from Concordia Theological Seminary with M. Div in 2016, and then in 2017 I received my STM in Exegetical Theology where my thesis focused on the feast of Isaiah 25. I have had the honor of writing and presenting a few short academic papers for CTSFW’s annual Exegetical Symposium, and I intend on writing more. In addition to daily pastoral responsibilities St. Peter’s, I am currently serving as a member of the Steering Committee for the LCMS’s Post Seminary Applied Learning and Support (PALS) initiative.
Also in my down time, I enjoy taking advantage of the hunting and fishing opportunities the Lord has granted me in rural NEMO.
I am married to my wonderful wife, Emily, and the Lord has been gracious to us, granting us two living children: Jacob Ryan II and Ella Margrete.
